Tuesday. Kowloon.

Today we went to Kowloon. We walked through the Mong Kok markets.... this area, along with the fact that it was overcast, was pretty depressing. It presents a coarser side to Hong Kong. It is filled with dirt and grime, with rundown markets, filled with people and noise and traffic.

We spent some time in Langham Place....a 12 story vertical mall. It was, to be frank, amazing. I have never seen this many escalators in one building....and to look down from the top of a 12-story atrium is simply breathtaking.

Bird Flu anyone? (of course, I kid. but only kind of)... Kristen and I shared fried rice and chicken and vegetables for lunch. CHICKEN. that's right. we're fearless!

Jade Market

The roads are filled with signs... Giving it the title "River of Signs"

Oh man I love these pictures! It's so much fun to look at them while I'm at work and bored. I'm living vicariously through all your lives/blogs. Man I'm jealous...
